Irwan Abdullah received his Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from University of Amsterdam. His academic interest are mainly in Social Development and Quality of Life, State-Society Relations, Gender and Policy, Local-Global Relations, Local and Religious Wisdoms, Crisis and Disaster Studies, Religious conflict and conformity, Community Development and Cultural Studies.
