Abstrak:

This research will analyze how the local newspapers inPalu, Central Sulawesi portrayed women duringthe Poso conflict (1998 2003). Thepresent argument is that women in conflict reporting are often depicted aspassive victims, such as in the case of sexual harassment, rape, and murder. The womens effort in peace building and their effort as an active agent of thefamily survival were rarely covered by the media. My previous research onFraming conflict news in Poso (2005) indicated that womens perspective inthe local media was often ignored, while mens view dominated the news. Theresearch also concluded that the local media often used provocative languageand images in describing the conflict news. The conflict news obviously had abias reporting, both in terms of religious affiliation and gender perspective. This can be explained that the local journalists during the conflict had lessunderstanding or skill in peace reporting and gender viewpoint. In addition, the local journalists were part of the victims and had difficulties to avoidtheir personal perspectives.

A S (E L A) M A T Konon, Asmat berasal dari kata " A S (E L A) M A T

Clicks are shaping conflicts. In Indonesia’s digit Clicks are shaping conflicts.
In Indonesia’s digital sphere, algorithms now fuel intolerance, speed up radical shifts, and collapse the distance between online anger and real-world violence. “From Clicks to Conflict” reframes radicalism and extremism through Indonesia’s own data, cases, and digital behavior. Understanding how hate evolves online isn’t optional anymore. It’s the frontline of preventing the next wave of violence.
