Cyntia Ingrid, 25 years old, hails from the Bangka Belitung Islands. An art and philosophy enthusiast, she loves to create, read, and explore. She is currently delving into and exploring the field of Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) as a conscious activity to harmonize body, mind, and soul. The life philosophy in the Amerta Movement and the concepts introduced by its founder, the late Suprapto Suryodarmo, inspired her to explore this meditative movement firsthand. She happens to be exploring improvisation as a bodily language of dance—moving and being present in the moment—making Joged Amerta one of the foundational concepts in her literature and practical exploration of improvisation and body consciousness/mindfulness. In the future, she aims to further and deepen her exploration of Joged Amerta. She expresses gratitude for the space provided for many bodies to reconnect with Joged Amerta and with the spiritual consciousness of the late Suprapto Suryodarmo.

Cyntia Ingrid, 25 tahun, asal Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.

Two origin stories. Two journeys through time. The Two origin stories. Two journeys through time.
The Minahasan story of To'ar and Lumimu'ut has travelled through generations and Genesis, too, was retold and reshaped many times before the version we now know as the “fall” became dominant. Neither story has an untouched "original". What happens when we read them side by side—not simply as stories of a fall from grace, but as stories about growing up?

Over time, we learn to watch ourselves through the eyes of others. What does it take for a body to loosen itself from these gazes? Perhaps it begins with simply staying present. Breathing. Not disappearing. Quietly refusing.
