To enhance the academic atmosphere, CRCS holds a weekly discussion in 2002. The initial idea was to give more space to students to learn from experts and activists whose ideas might not be heard in regular classes. In 2006, we agreed with the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies (ICRS) to hold the discussion every Wednesday afternoon. CRCS-ICRS Wednesday forum has since then become a space for the CRCS-ICRS community to learn more about a variety of topics on religion from people of both inside and outside academia.
The forum has hosted various speakers ranging from graduate students, activists, to prominent scholars on Indonesia and religious studies. It is conducted in English and open for the public. Below are posters of the forum (click each to see it larger) from the last year. To see the list of all the past forums, click here.
